Warranty & Service
What our workmanship warranty covers, how manufacturer equipment warranties work, and what a service contract includes.
Updated September 22, 2026
1. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our installation and fabrication workmanship for one year from the date of substantial completion, unless a longer period is stated in your agreement. Within that period we return and correct defects in the work we performed at no charge.
2. What The Workmanship Warranty Covers
- Installation defects in equipment we set and connected
- Leaks at connections we made
- Custom stainless fabrication defects including welds and seams
- Hood and duct installation workmanship
- Walk in panel assembly and sealing performed by us
- Levelling, securing and anti tip provisions
3. Equipment Warranties Are The Manufacturer's
Commercial equipment carries the manufacturer's own warranty, commonly one year parts and labor with extended coverage on compressors, and terms vary by brand and category. We pass through every manufacturer warranty, register equipment where registration is required, and administer claims on your behalf during the warranty period. We are not the warrantor of the equipment itself and cannot extend or alter manufacturer terms.
Equipment you supplied yourself carries whatever warranty you obtained from your seller. Our installation of it is covered by our workmanship warranty; the unit is not.
4. What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear including gaskets, filters, seals, lamps, knobs and thermostats past their service life
- Damage from lack of cleaning, particularly grease buildup in hoods, ducts and fans
- Damage from improper use, overloading or operating equipment outside its rated conditions
- Damage from power surges, brownouts, lightning or utility interruption
- Damage from water intrusion, flooding, storms or pests
- Damage from scale and mineral buildup where required water treatment was not maintained
- Refrigeration performance problems caused by blocked condensers, propped doors or ambient conditions outside the unit's rating
- Equipment altered, repaired or relocated by others
- Consumables and cleaning products
- Work performed by others on or around our installation
5. Florida Conditions
Refrigeration in this climate works harder than the same equipment elsewhere. Condensers must be kept clean and clear, rooftop units need shade or adequate airflow where the specification calls for it, and door seals matter more here than in cooler regions. Failures traceable to blocked condensers, uncleaned coils or a unit operating outside its rated ambient are maintenance issues rather than warranty issues.
6. Cleaning Is Your Obligation
Hood, duct and fan cleaning at the intervals required by NFPA 96 and by your fire authority is the operator's responsibility and is a condition of both your fire suppression compliance and our workmanship warranty on ventilation work. Grease accumulation is the leading cause of commercial kitchen fires and is not a defect in our installation.
7. Preventive Maintenance Contracts
Service contracts start at $295 per month and typically include:
- Scheduled preventive maintenance visits at an agreed interval
- Refrigeration performance and temperature verification
- Condenser and coil cleaning
- Cook line calibration and gas safety checks
- Gasket, filter, drain line and door seal inspection
- Documented service history suitable for health inspection records
- Priority scheduling with a 24 hour response target
- Reduced hourly labor rate on repairs
Parts, refrigerant and major repairs are charged separately unless your contract states otherwise. Contracts are cancellable with 30 days written notice.
8. Emergency Service
Contract clients receive priority response with a 24 hour target and access to an after hours contact. Response time is a target rather than a guarantee, and is affected by parts availability, weather events and demand following a widespread outage. Non contract clients are served as scheduling allows at our standard rate plus trip charge.
9. Making A Claim
Call (770) 304 1442 or email info@kitchenpalmbeach.site with your business name, the equipment or work in question, the installation date and a description. Photographs help. We respond within one business day and schedule an inspection where needed. Stop using equipment that is leaking gas, leaking water onto electrical components, or otherwise unsafe, and tell us immediately.
10. Transferability
The workmanship warranty extends to the original client at the original installation address and is not transferable on sale of the business unless agreed in writing. Manufacturer equipment warranties transfer according to the manufacturer's own terms.
